The healer first uses traditional diagnostic methods to diagnose the client’s condition.
Diagnostic Methods
Pulse Diagnosis

The pulse is an invaluable indicator of health and wellbeing and gives a deep understanding of the patient’s health at different levels. It is a quick, inexpensive and non-invasive diagnostic technique, which when performed by a trained professional can provide an accurate representation of the health condition of a person. The immediate and specific information provided by the pulse diagnosis can also help clarify contradictory diagnostic information and symptomatology.
Tongue Diagnosis

The tongue is considered a very influential source of diagnosis as it is the only external organ of the body with visual indicators and connections with multiple organs. The tongue reflects the health of different organ systems and tongue diagnosis is an effective diagnostic technique used in ancient medicine. The appearance of an individual’s tongue is used as an indicator to understand his / her overall health.
Once pulse and tongue diagnosis are completed, other aspects of the patient’s health are evaluated. Then the healer decides treatment with a single or a combination of therapies. These therapies include Acupuncture Therapy, Acupressure Therapy, Varmam Therapy, Marma, Meru Chikitsa, Spine Care Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Naturopathy, Chiropractic, and Yoga Therapy (including Meditation). The client is then offered further guidance on lifestyle management.
Ancient & Traditional Healing Therapies
Acupuncture

In this therapy, fine needles are inserted in the skin at specific acupuncture points which are located along – what are considered to be – the lines of energy (meridians). The therapy is proven to be effective in the treatment of various physical, mental and emotional conditions. It can be combined with the burning of moxa – a herb, and/or cupping therapy. The acupuncture needles, moxa and cupping influence the balance and flow of energy in the body. This assists in regaining and maintaining health.
Varmam

Varmam are the points where life force resides and flows through in the human body. The Divine Art of Varmam entails stimulating Varmam points to cure diseases. This method of stimulation of Varmam points by regulating the proper functioning of subtle air in them is referred to as Varmam healing or stimulation of Varmam air.
Meru Chikitsa

Meru Chikitsa is an ancient, spine related approach to perfect the health and well-being. Meru Chikitsa means setting the spine right or to relax into one’s nature. The process utilizes gentle touches along the spine, which activates our highest consciousness and frees the bound or restricted energy. Once the energy (Prana) gets moving, the sense of well-being and health gets restored automatically.
Marma

Marma points are the vital energy points in the human body that are cleansed, and rejuvenated through Marma therapy. This therapy works at a very subtle level. Marma therapy connects Nadi and Chakras of the subtle body. It bring about physical, mental and emotional flexibility by releasing deep-seated stress and trauma. The therapy creates an opportunity to experience powerful transformation at physical, mental, and emotional level. For a spiritual seeker, Marma therapy facilitates easy access to the higher realm of consciousness.
Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a profound, non-invasive, healing process. The therapy works through gentle touch on the body to release stress, any disturbances, injuries and even deep-seated trauma. It is known to benefit a multitude of problems – from minor pains to severe chronic conditions. The therapy works at multiple levels in the body impacting various systems, organs, and tissues. It triggers the body’s self-healing mechanisms to provide relief to the root causes and diseases. As the therapy restores balance across the various systems of the body, the person experiences a state of good health and well-being.
Yoga Therapy

Typically Yoga is associated with poses (asanas). These are no doubt that asanas are great for strengthening the body. However there is more to Yoga that just the asanas. Derived from the Sankrit word “yuj” which means “to unite or integrate” yoga is a 5,000+ year old Indian body of knowledge. The alignment and harmonising of the body, the mind and the breath is true Yoga. At the Sri Art of Healing Center, clients are guided to achieve this via breathing exercises, yoga poses (asanas) and the meditation. The emphasis is more on the experience of peace, stress-relief via meditation and practical yoga philosophy. To aid deeper experience of meditation, clients are guided through various pranayamas.
